Senior PHP Developer In 2008 our client founded their online webshop. As business is growing, changes are necessary in the architecture of the site & CMS. They are looking for a senior web developer who can prepare our site for the future.

Based in Amsterdam Working week of 32-40 hours About the team

The team currently consist of 6 web developers, a global leader in mobile entertainment. Within the client over 15 different nationalities represent the mixture of creative, technical and sales personality's resulting in a stimulating and dynamic work environment. Core responsibilities: The senior developer will be the main architect, programmer and developer of the webshop's CMS: Chandi. S/he will have to program in frontend and back end systems, including database designs. This is a self supporting and independent role, but new architecture has to be developed within the client standards, in collaboration with the technology department. The core responsibilities of the senior developer are:

" Stage one - Analysis / orientation phase o Translates requirements into a Technical Design o Analyzes and advises on system design architecture o Writes technical documentation/design o Creates project breakdown & estimates deliverables " Stage two - Building phase o Sets up system foundation (database model, core classes and system architecture o Designs/ creates unit integration tests o Reports project progress o Writes code " Stage three - Termination phase o Writes and executes test plan o Performs system deployments o Writes documentation / user guidance o Coordinates project handover to the Maintenance team

Must have background and experience requirements:

" Bachelor or Master degree " Technical knowledge (PHP, Object-Orientation, UML, RAP, AJAX, SQL and web standards) " 4-7 years Work experience (preferably in a fast changing environment) " Experience developing a web shop in a senior / leading role " Good understanding of relational databases in both their logical and physical aspects " Experience with frameworks such as Zend, Cake, Catalyst etc…; " Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interfacing with both development management and the business teams " Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

The client operates in a fast changing market where opportunities and priorities, literally, may vary from day per day. To manage this, the Sr. Web Developer must be able to prioritize the day-to-day business correctly in perspective to the short, mid- and long-term projects.
