The JavaScript Developer will join the User Experience team, based in the head office in Amsterdam. The User Experience team is at the forefront of product design and innovation, and has an absolute commitment to delivering the best possible user experiences to our customers. This position provides an opportunity to work within an exciting, supportive team, to interact with Usability Engineers, Requirements Managers, Product Managers and Developers and to gain valuable insights into the product creation process.

Your main tasks will be:

" Take ownership of the JavaScript framework " Develop, improve and test the framework for usage across the organisation " Research new technologies for future ensuring that the team stays on the cutting edge of technology " Develop new features in order to support innovation

Your Profile:

" Extensive front-end web development experience " In depth knowledge of JavaScript language and experience of building complex AJAX applications. " Experience with pure JavaScript " Experience of writing optimized code for high performance JS applications " In-depth knowledge of DOM " Experience with HTML 5 would be a plus " Experience with a mobile platform is big plus. " A strong, creative, problem solver, self-motivated and tenacious when tackling tough issues " Solid understanding of good web design principles and ability to adhere to complex design specifications during implementation and design phase " Solid understanding of web best practices and standards " Embrace Web Standards where possible and find specific solutions where needed " A smart-working developer, with a willingness to learn and understand the importance of user experience and brand awareness and consistency " Highly motivated to learn new technologies
