Database System Tester

The ICT Operations department works Internationally from Amsterdam. The department has around 40 enthusiastic colleagues and works with a portfolio of more than 35 different applications.

Job Description

As a Database System Tester you are responsible for the maintenance of the test environment set up in a UNIX setting. You make the test plans and are responsible for the translation in logical and physical test cases. Furthermore, you install new releases in the test environment, load the test data and validate the correct procedure. Finally you are responsible for the transfer of the releases to our internal client.

Who you are?

You are motivated and have strong analytical skills. You are able to work independently and to plan your own work. You are the sparring partner for the different business analysts, functional testers and developers within your team. You are able to analyse the whole cycle of the application. Your communication skills are excellent and are capable of working with challenging deadlines.

Who we are looking for:

Personal profile IT specialist Good knowledge of the English language

Requirements: Experience with Unix and Windows environments. Experience with Databases (ie. Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, etc) Experience with Perl and or Java is a bonus

Heb je ervaring met TMAP, Unix en Windows omgevingen en weet je je goed staande te houden te midden van developers?

Dit ga je doen

Als System en Database Tester ben je verantwoordelijk voor het onderhoud van de testomgeving op een Unix omgeving. Je bent een sparringpartner voor betrokken business analysten, functionele Testers en ontwikkelaars. Je stelt het testplan op en bent verantwoordelijk voor de vertaling in logische en fysieke testgevallen. Daarnaast installeer je nieuwe releases in de testomgeving, laadt de testdata en verifieert de correcte werking. Tot slot ben je verantwoordelijk voor het correct overdragen van de releases naar onze interne klant.

Je werkomgeving

Wij zijn afdeling ICT Operations. De afdeling is de interne IT-leverancier van de business, en is verantwoordelijk voor het beheer en uitbreiding van financiële applicaties betrokken.

Wie ben jij ?

Je bent een gemotiveerd persoon met sterke analytische vaardigheden. Je bent in staat om zelfstandig te werken, je eigen werk te coordineren en prioriteiten te stellen. Je bent communicatief, nauwkeurig en in staat om om te gaan met uitdagende deadlines.

Je hebt kennis van:

" Ervaring met Unix en Windows oplossingen. " Ervaren met Databases (Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, ...) " Ervaren met Perl en/of Java is een pré
